Gamma Communications Welcomes Martin Hellawell as Chair

London, UK 25 May 2023 – Gamma Communications plc (“Gamma”), a leading technology-based provider of communication services is pleased to announce the appointment of Martin Hellawell as Chair and Non-Executive Director of the Board, effective from 1 July 2023. Martin will succeed Richard Last, who we communicated would be stepping down from his role earlier this year after serving as Chair for an impressive nine years.

Martin brings with him a wealth of experience from his distinguished career and has demonstrated his exceptional leadership abilities across multiple organisations in the IT industry. He is currently serving as Non-Executive Chair of Softcat plc, Raspberry Pi Limited and AIM listed musicMagpie plc as well as a Non-Executive Director of AIM listed Team17 plc.

Prior to his current roles, Martin served as the Chief Executive of Softcat from 2006 to 2018, successfully leading the company through its flotation on the London Stock Exchange in 2015. His previous experience also includes over a decade at Computacenter plc, where he held various key positions and spearheaded acquisitions in the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Germany.
